Acupuncture
The practice of Acupuncture at VMC is based on the Kiiko Matsumoto Style which addresses the root or underlying cause, as well as the branch or symptomatic expression of disease. This palpation based approach relies on direct tactile experience of imbalances present within an individual through the diagnostic evaluation of pulse and abdominal reflection zones. Palpation allows for the monitoring of progress and provides the ability to adjust techniques in real-time for the best possible results. Treatments work to maximize the body’s natural ability for homeostatic balance. The needles used are generally less than 0.2 mm in diameter and are inserted with little to no sensation.
