Kiiko Matsumoto is considered a "living master of Acupuncture" and is the founder of the "Kiiko Matsumoto style" of acupuncture. Her style is rooted in Japanese holistic traditions and allows the practitioner to treat the entire person, instead of simply focusing on a single condition. Emphasis on root causes allows her to effectively treat a disorder, rather than manage its symptoms. Kiiko has been developing and honing this method for the past 30 years. Her approach is taught at acupuncture schools around the world. Kiiko also takes a scholarly approach to acupuncture, researching and publishing works that are regularly published in acupuncture journals both in the USA and abroad.
The flexible nature of Kiiko's style makes it appropriate for any type of patient. She uses the smallest gauge needles possible, in addition to other tools such as magnets, diodes, and other non-invasive techniques for those who have difficulty with needles. Blending classical Chinese medical principles with modern medical knowledge has helped Kiiko develop her style into one that not only provides instant feedback but also lasting results.
